When Malcolm and I walked into "Smoothie King" on Baltimore Ave., we noticed that they had all the nutritious things you could think of. The store provides health foods and nutrient drinks. The drinks cost from $3.50 to $8.00. There are currently 30 employees and high school students can work here.
"Smoothie King," managed by Jessica, has been at the location for 4yrs. The business has other locations. There are over 500 others nationwide. Jessica told us that the reason for locating there is because the owner graduated from UMD and decided to stay here.
To get to "Smoothie King," you can take a metro bus or the UMD bus. To Jessica, the neighborhood was a great place to start the business. According to her, the asset of the city is "there are a lot of college students."
