College Park Bananas

It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and there were no sign of clouds. Perhaps it was a beautiful day to visit the hair salon. So Octavia and I made a visit to Bananas, and learned more about the salon.
In the salon, we met Casey who explained to us how they got their name. She says that the previous owner and hairstylist sat together and brainstormed, but they couldn't come up with a name. Finally, they come with "like a bunch of bananas" and decided to name it Bananas. Casey thinks the name fits the salon because "it's a younger place."

We also found out that Bananas has been here since 1972. Bananas has about 15 hairstylists at this moment. Casey says that Bananas does everything that has to do with hair (short, medium, long hair, color, highlights, correcting the color, facial hair,). Also, Bananas sells hair products.

We noticed that there were not many people in the salon, but Casey told us that on weekends and afternoons Bananas is really busy. Casey also informed us that Bananas has 5,000 regular customers that come every six weeks.

		Casey says that what she likes the most about Bananas is that she has a parking space in front of the salon, and it is located in the heart of College Park. Students from University of Maryland, especially sororities, walk by often. During that beautiful day, we found an asset not only for its rare name but also for the time it has been there and because customers appear to like this place. By Cesar Herrera
